This site is my tribute to Stephen Fry with a focus on the photo gallery.

» What's up with the title?
'Fry' (obviously) is Stephen's last name, and 'Control' was a reoccuring character (my fave) on the show "A Bit Of Fry & Laurie." Put them together and you get 'Fry Control.'

» Who runs this site?
That would be me, Lisa Hansen. I live in Maryland. I'm a 28-year old vegetarian. Some of you may know me around the web as OckGal and/or Melchy.

» Is this site official?
No.

» Why are you so obsessed with Stephen?
I'm not obsessed. I admire him and his work. I made a fan site because that's what I like doing. When I get into someone, I like to have a full collection of their work. The stuff I put on this site is for others to view. Why would I wanna look at the site when I have the stuff in my collection and I can easily look at it offline? The only obsessive thing would be putting up as much content on this site that I can, so I can share it with other fans.

» Do you have Stephen's eMail address, phone number, home address, etc?
No. If I did, I certainly wouldn't share it. I value people's privacy and hate when others brag about things like that. If you claim to know his personal information and you brag about it, then you must not be very loyal.

» Where did you get all the material on your website?
The photos were either scanned or video captured by me, unless otherwise credited. The text information was either transcribed from other sources (magazines, etc.) or created by my own mind with perhaps the help of various sources during my research.

» Why do you have so many photos?
I have a habit of getting a lot of different angles and expressions. I even like to capture minor changes in a series of photos.

» How do you make video captures?
1. Capture the photos from videos online using various software; 2. Go out and buy the software. Install it. Plug in the cord to your computer and into your VCR and make the images. Open them in a photo program, edit them, resave them and upload them. Code the html and then they're ready to be viewed. I've had three cards. $20, $50 and $80.

» Can I use your images?
I spend a lot of time making these and getting them online and if they're spread all over the web, people won't know where they originally came from and who wants to come here and see the same photos they've seen elsewhere? Posting a few on a journal or forum is cool, but please put a link so people know where to go for more. Please don't take the photos to put on another website, though. If you wanna alter them or make a wallpaper or something, I'd love to see/feature the finished picture on this site.

» Hey, why'd you steal my images?
The only photos I take from any other sites are from auction sites (eBay, etc.) just because once the auction is over, the photos will be offline. I just wanna keep them archived so people can see them. If you find your auction photos on this site, let me know and I'll either credit you (link to the auction for as long as it's up) or remove them, if you want. I don't take photos off of other sites unless I've been given permission.

» Why are there so many ads and pop-ups on this site?
This site is hosted on Hollywood.com and they have to pay their bills some how. In exchange for them hosting this site for free, I have to display ads. Fair exchange. I can't afford my own hosting space and domain, and I have no credit card or PayPal to pay for it, if I could afford it.

» How can I help contribute to the site?
Several ways. You can let me know of any mistakes on the website (text mistakes, broken links, etc.), submit your own fan photos (in-person Stephen photos, artwork, etc.), submit information that could be benefitial to this site and sign the guestbook.

» I need such-and-such movie/show for my collection. Can I buy a copy from you?
No. I only accept trades for things that I need in my collection. Offer me something I need and if I can record/copy what you want, perhaps we can work something out. Not all things I have are able to be recorded, though.

» I have some rare photos/interviews/clips of Stephen. Do you want them for the site?
Yes! Anything that isn't already here is most welcome on this site. Let me know what name, website link, information you want for the credit.

» Will you link to my site?
If it has something to do with Stephen (directly or indirectly) and you've linked to me first, sure. I'm also accepting affiliates. I put affiliate buttons on my front page and usually (if it's about Stephen) add a link to the links section of the site, as well. Lemme know if you're interested in exchanging links.

» Why does your site suck?
I don't think it does, but you can just leave and don't come back. Easy as that. Feel free to make your own the way you wanna have it.
